It’s that time of year once again–our Christmas open house at Vander Giessen’s! For many of the 85 years we’ve been in business, we’ve hosted an open house to kick off the Christmas season and we’re excited to bring back the tradition again this year. Join us this Saturday, December 2 from 10:00-3:00 and enjoy time spent visiting with family and friends and enjoying delicious homemade goodies while you browse our greenhouses to pick out a fresh-cut Christmas tree or colorful poinsettia.

Beginning at 10:00 AM, we will be serving fresh, delicious olie bollen–a Dutch donut traditionally made around Christmas or New Year’s. In addition to the olie bollen, we will have hot cocoa, coffee, and apple cider to sip while you shop–all at no charge. We are also excited to offer open house sales this weekend–sale prices will be honored both Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2. Included in our sale are following items:

  • Garden tools 20% off
  • Garden gloves 20% off
  • Packaged amaryllis & paperwhite bulbs 20% off

All sales run Friday, December 1 through Saturday, December 2 and discounts are limited to stock on hand.

Throughout this season, we also invite you to stop in to pick out wreaths, Christmas cactus, budded hellebores, and much more to dress up your home with fresh color both inside and out. And while you shop, let your kids enjoy watching our Christmas train wind through our plant display in the greenhouse.
